Porsche Sings a Version of Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 at the Ice Palace. According to Porsche, Hedda Lettuce was the genius behind those lyrics

Dolly Parton may never have set foot on Fire Island, but her presence was always felt here. In 1978, Cherry Grove held a Dolly Parton look-alike contest as part of its annual Cherry Grove Fair. Dolly impersonations became part of Fire Island's drag culture for decades; for example, performers have appeared as Dolly at events including Miss Fire Island.

Porsche, the legendary Fire Island drag queen, has performed Dolly alongside her many other impersonations, while other Fire Island queens have also done Dolly numbers.

Dolly always had devoted queer audiences, partly because of their themes of love, heartbreak, identity, and perseverance. She consistently defended her LGBTQ+ fans and said that she didn’t judge people for who they love and has pushed back against attempts to use Christianity to justify hostility toward gay people.

In this video taped by koitz in 2008, we see Porsche singing a version of ‘9 to 5’ created by performer and drag queen Hedda Lettuce.
